China's power grid operator uses shoulder exoskeletons from SUITX

The State Grid Corporation of China is part of the state-owned energy company of the People's Republic of China, which is one of the largest energy companies in the world. The grid operator uses the IX SHOULDER AIR to support its employees in maintaining the power grid. This ensures a reliable power supply.

When maintaining the substations, for example in Chengdu, the current flow has to be checked with a tester. The tasks also include attaching earthing cables.

"In the past, some colleagues were often unable to carry out such tasks smoothly because the tester is too long and the earthing cables are too heavy. Wearing an exoskeleton enables us to carry out such tasks smoothly and make the work more efficient," says an employee in Chengdu.

A colleague adds: "After putting on the exoskeleton, I can clearly feel that my arms are supported in the upward movement, which enables me to lift heavy objects more easily and stably."

State Grid Chengdu Power Supply Company relies on SUITX's shoulder exoskeleton as the innovative assistive exoskeleton provides a ready-to-use solution that improves productivity while preventing muscle fatigue.

The energy company has documented the use case in a video published on Youtube together with our partner Weston Robot.
