Our customers face similar challenges and rely on exoskeletons from SUITX by Ottobock.

Physically demanding and repetitive tasks place a high physical strain on employees. The resulting musculoskeletal disorders account for more than a quarter of sick days in Germany and even more than a third of absences in the USA. This has consequences for productivity.

With an average of 32 days of absence per year, your company incurs costs of approximately 500 euros or 400 dollars per day!
Areas of Application

The main cause of sick leave in logistics is physical strain due to frequent repetitive activities, heavy lifting operations, and unfavorable positions in squatting or bent postures.

In the mobility industry, tasks that require lifting the arms at or above shoulder height are also common. This includes overhead assembly work, wiring harness, airbag, or seat installation, as well as masking, sealant application, and sanding in the paint shop.

However, workplaces in other industries, services, and trades are also affected, such as vehicle and machinery construction, surgery and nursing, craft and service sectors. These situations cannot always be avoided through other measures, making exoskeletons the perfect solution.

Seamless Integration

Our exoskeletons are particularly lightweight and can be worn throughout an entire shift due to their slim design. For instance, with our IX BACK AIR, your employees can operate fork lifts without restrictions, and the IX SHOULDER can be don and doff like a backpack in just a few seconds.

Our exoskeletons integrate excellently into your occupational safety concept and represent an ideal addition to your catalog of measures for making workplaces more attractive.

Test Our Exoskeletons Directly at Your Location

The challenge for health experts in companies is to find the most suitable exoskeleton for their applications. Therefore, SUITX by Ottobock offers various programs to test our exoskeletons directly in your facility with your employees. Ralf Moeller tests new exoskeleton at DACHSER

Since it was founded almost 100 years ago, the logistics company Dachser has been keeping pace with the latest technological advances and responding dynamically to the challenges of a globalised industry. DACHSER recognises and seizes opportunities that open up at an early stage, thereby acting as a pioneer and driving innovation. This includes introducing exoskeletons as personal assistance systems to meet the physical strain of employees, especially in the warehouse.

The company has already taken a major step towards improving employee health with the use of more than 400 products in our CX series and the introduction of the IX BACK AIR passive back exoskeleton in March 2025. The next step is now set to follow with the IX BACK VOLTON, the first electrically-assisted back exoskeleton from SUITX. And none other than actor Ralf Möller was at Dachser's Experience Day in September.
